GitHub Drinkup

  • Punspace Coworking Space Siri Mangkalajarn Road Lane 11 Chiang Mai, Chiang Mai, 50200 Thailand (map)

How does GitHub actually build and ship GitHub? We’ll talk about the entire software development lifecycle at GitHub, from deciding what to work on to shipping it. That’s great, you say, but would that even apply to my project? We’ll also apply our experience from years of consulting with startups prior to GitHub to highlight the pieces that could work for your web project.

What are covered?

* How we use GitHub.
* Other tools that are essential to process, such as chat, continuous integration, and exception monitoring.
* How you can set this up for your project.

Kasima Tharnpipitchai was born in Bangkok, Thailand and matured into a fully grown nerd in the US. He co-founded 2nd Rate Geniuses, LLC, a software consultancy and been consulting for startups for over a decade, focusing on web application development and agile methodology coaching. He’s currently a software engineer at GitHub and tackles billing issues up and down the stack.

Alex Southgate is a software developer at GitHub.  He has been designing and building software for startups for 15 years, the last 7 of which were with Kasima as one awesome half of 2nd Rate Geniuses, LLC.
